Application Questions

Do I need to have any prerequisite skills?

We believe no prerequisites should be an obstacle to discovering and polishing one’s creativity and inborn talent.

While we do have an enrolment process, we are not bound by prerequisite skills.

I don't have a portfolio. Can I still apply?

Of course, you can!

A Portfolio lays testimony to work you have completed. It’s good if you have it but it is not mandatory.

We believe that  passion and zeal are all you need to ace our courses.

I am an international candidate, am I able to apply and is there a certain process I need to follow?

Yes! United Pop is a great advocate of diversity, we welcome all international candidates to apply.

As an international student, do I have to take an IELTS examination?

If you are an International Student, submitting your IELTS result is one of the requirements.

There are other exams as well that determine your English language skills like TOEFL, Cambridge English, and Pearson tests. Please contact us for further details.

What is the duration of the application process?

Once you have applied online, or mailed us your enrolment form with the necessary documents, you will usually be contacted within 2 working days to schedule an interview.

Who do I contact if I face a problem during my enrolment?

You can contact us via email or a call if you have any issues related to admission, course queries, or anything that you’re unsure about. One of our team will get in touch with you as the earliest convenience.

We offer you a wide range of creative courses all specialising in the realm of Music and Sound Production, Photography and Screen & Media.

These courses are designed to expand your depth of knowledge and increases your experience and skill, gaining expertise in the fields.

Hone specific skills with our short courses, complete a diploma to step into your future or expand your career possibilities with an advanced diploma.

Do I need to know how to play an instrument to join a Music & Sound Course?

While it’s definitely helpful to know your sound, style, and music – there are aspects of Music & Sound like managerial responsibilities and technical skills that require no knowledge of playing an instrument.

Study Structure Questions

Are United Pop courses formally recognised?

Yes!
United Pop is registered and regulated by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) which is Australia’s independent national regulator of the higher education sector, both public and private.

What is a double to triple diploma?

United Pop has designed the courses to be extended to a double Diploma over four trimesters.

By adding additional units, you will gain the competencies needed to enhance your qualification and become a well-rounded creative ready to start your career in this growing industry.

Do I have to sit for an exam?

United Pop assesses all your work, progression, and assignments in a contemporary approach to make sure you are ready to go up against the challenges of the real world.

So, we rather than using formal sit-down exams, we analyse your work and progress via presentations, demonstrations, and illustrations throughout the course.

How much does my course cost?

What payment options are available to me?

We accept payment via electronic transfer (EFT), money order or cheque.

If you face any difficulty in processing the payment, we can make alternative arrangements.

What happens if I am unable to pay a fee on time?

United Pop Australia reserves the right to suspend the provision of training and/or other services until fees are brought up to date.

If you have a long term outstanding account, you may be withdrawn from the course.

If you are an international student who has not paid fees, you will receive two warnings regarding non-payment of fees. Thereafter you will be reported to the Department of Human Affairs (DHA) via PRISMS under student default.

Student Life Questions

Can I work while I study?

You sure can!

In case of international students, the Subclass 500 Student Visa allows you to work up to 40 hours per fortnight during the semester.

In order to not sideline your education, we recommend you to work no more than 16 hours per week.

Are there job opportunities once I complete my course?

Depending upon the course you pursue, you will have a wide array of professional opportunities to apply for.

You will be prepared to pave your career in creative, media, and entertainment fields. The mentorship from our experienced faculty members helps you get a thorough insight into the job process.
